SketchUp Educational Networked Lab Licence
Overview
SketchUp Pro is powerful and intuitive 3D modelling computer software for a wide range of drawing applications used across a range of industries from architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and construction, to film and video game design.
SketchUp Pro Lab Licenses are available to accredited educational institutions for use in instructional settings. Educational institutions who would like to use SketchUp Pro for any purpose other than teaching students do not qualify for SketchUp educational pricing and would need to purchase commercial licenses. Research and Facilities/Planning departments within educational institutions do not qualify. Networked Lab Licenses cannot be used for commercial (for-profit) work of any kind. Individual students cannot purchase network lab licenses and should purchase a student subscription. SketchUp Networked Licenses are intended for installation on computers in a networked lab situation and are floating network licenses. The license file used by Networked Lab Licenses is managed in the cloud. Labs will need to have a connection to the public Internet to authorise and use the license.
What's Included
SketchUp Pro
There’s a reason SketchUp is synonymous with intuitive and user-friendly 3D design software: it doesn’t sacrifice usability for functionality. Start drawing lines and shapes. Push and pull surfaces to turn them into 3D shapes. Stretch, copy, rotate and paint to create anything you want.
- EDU Lab licenses for installation on desktop computers in higher education computer labs.
- A floating license. Install SketchUp on as many machines as you wish, you are limited to X number of concurrent users (X = the number od Lab seats you purchase)
- The SketchUp Network Lab License expires after one year
- The license file used by EDU Lab Licenses is managed in the cloud. Labs will need to have an internet connection to authorise and use SketchUp.
- Ports 5053 and 50530 must be open on the router on each workstation for your network licence to work
LayOut
LayOut takes your 3D model into 2D space; it’s the tool for creating documentation from your SketchUp model.
PreDesign
PreDesign lets you enhance your design research before you even begin to model. Figure out daylighting, shading/glazing, outside spaces and architectural response.
Style Builder
Style Builder has one primary job: enabling you to create sketchy edge styles from your own images.
3D Warehouse
Find a 3D model of just about anything and import it straight into your own model.
Extension Warehouse
SketchUp extensions are add-on tools that solve 3D modelling problems which can seriously supercharge your workflow.
Support
You’ll get all the help you need with any installation and technical questions that may arise.
Tutorials and Training
You are consistently supported when you subscribe to SketchUp. We provide a dedicated telephone and email support outreach. However, if you need further training you can find authorised training centres.
Elmtec’s in-house SketchUp Customer Success Manager is also on hand to guide you through a range of SketchUp tutorials.
